Salute America Los Angeles Chapter

Overview

Recognizing and Remembering Achievement
Advancing Multicultural, Multinational Unity

The Los Angeles Chapter of Salute America is the official Salute America Chapter for the City of Los Angeles and Southern California.  The Los Angeles Chapter operates under a Salute America Chapter Charter established by Salute America's National Board. James "Pasqual" Bettio serves as Los Angeles Chapter Chair.

Devoted to paying tribute to individuals, cities, states, communities and organizations that have made an “extra effort” in Los Angeles and beyond, the Chapter presents awards for achievements in the arts, sciences, education, athletics, history, community service, communications, media, and service to our nation. The Chapter seeks to raise awareness of those who have advanced themselves and positively impacted those around them, their community, society and the world.

Salute America’s message to all is "There's a Winner in You." The Los Angeles Chapter selects recipients and receives applications for Salute America "There's a Winner in You" Extra Effort Awards. The Los Angeles Chapter pays tribute to youth, seniors, the disabled, military, public servants, athletes, schools, hospitals, churches and others who develop themselves personally and professionally through substantive community service.

The recognition of many is long overdue.  It is never too early to inspire future achievers. Salute America provides well-deserved recognition to unsung heroes and outstanding achievers across the nation.  This acknowledgment helps instill character and confidence, and bolsters the America Dream – economic self-sufficiency and social parity.

Chapter Goals

We are establishing interdependent strategic alliances with independent individuals, organizations, corporations, government entities and government agencies to advance multicultural, multinational recognition of achievement. Through a collaboration of local, state  and national organizations and public, private, non-profit, academic and media strategic partnerships we will participate in and encourage greater recognition of achievement and efforts to achieve in order to motivate people and instill pride.
